With nearly 10 million cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures performed last year – and even more expected in 2012, it makes sense that it would become a popular gift item.
“We typically see a increase in traffic and demand for nips and tucks over the Christmas period as patients use the holidays to recover from treatments. It’s important to note that cosmetic procedures or gift cards should not be purchased unless your loved one has openly expressed an interest,” says Dr. Castellano. “Purchasing a facelift for your wife who hasn’t talked about refreshing her appearance won’t win you any points around holiday time.
