What is Bellafill®?
Bellafill® is a facial filler that contains collagen and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA). Collagen is a protein that is naturally produced by the body and is a vital component of connective tissues. The collagen in Bellafill® provides immediate volume and support to the treated area, reducing the appearance of wrinkles or scars. PMMA is a synthetic, biocompatible (meaning it is safe to use in the body) substance that has been used in medicine for much of the last century. PMMA rests under the surface of the skin as “microspheres”, which provide continued support. These microspheres act as a scaffold for the production of new collagen, promoting long-term volume and structural improvement in the skin.

What Should I Do Before a Bellafill® Treatment?
Bellafill® requires little preparation, but we do recommend refraining from alcohol, advil, aleve, ibuprofen, waxing, hair removal creams, and Vitamin E oil for 72 hours before treatment. What is the Bellafill® Treatment Like?
Your Bellafill® treatment will begin with the application of a topical anesthetic, which numbs the skin to minimize any discomfort that may occur during the injection process. Then, our master injectors will use a fine needle to inject Bellafill® into the desired treatment areas. The depth, location and number of these injections will depend on the areas being treated and your desired results. The Bellafill® treatment typically takes less than 45 minutes, making it a quick and convenient treatment for anyone with a busy schedule.
Does Bellafill® Hurt?
Bellafill® treatments are not considered painful, as we offer a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area before injection. However, you may still feel a small pinch during the injection process. Additionally, you may experience some mild swelling or bruising in the treatment area that lasts for a few days after treatment. All things considered, most patients find Bellafill® treatments to be quite comfortable.
