What is Sculptra®?
Sculptra® is a facial filler that contains poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA). PLLA is a collagen stimulator that has been shown to produce significant improvements in the body’s own collagen production. For many patients, the root cause of signs of aging is the natural loss in collagen that occurs throughout the aging process. The Sculptra® injectable is designed to stimulate natural collagen production to reverse these signs of aging and produce a more youthful appearance. What Makes Sculptra® a Semi-Permanent Facial Filler?

Sculptra® requires little preparation, but we do recommend refraining from alcohol, advil, aleve, ibuprofen, waxing, hair removal creams, and Vitamin E oil for 72 hours before treatment. What is the Sculptra® Treatment Like?
Your Sculptra® treatment will begin with the application of a topical anesthetic, which numbs the skin to minimize any discomfort that may occur during the injection process. Then, our master injectors will use a fine needle to inject Sculptra® into the desired treatment areas. The depth, location and number of these injections will depend on the areas being treated and your desired results. The Sculptra® treatment typically takes less than 30 minutes, making it a quick and convenient treatment for anyone with a busy schedule.
Does Sculptra® Hurt?
Sculptra® treatments are not considered painful, as we offer a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area before injection. However, you may still feel a pinch during the injection process. Additionally, you may experience some mild swelling or bruising in the treatment area that lasts for a few days after treatment. All things considered, most patients find Sculptra® treatments to be quite tolerable.
